Make a difference in the life of a Holocaust survivor as a Friendly Visitor Volunteer.

We are urgently seeking bilingual Russian/English speaking volunteers for our Friendly Visiting Program for Russian speaking Holocaust survivors living in Brooklyn and Queens.

Friendly Visitors meet on-one-one with a Holocaust survivor on a weekly basis in the client's home. Provide companionship, engage in conversation and lend a listening ear. Activities include socialization or other in-home activities. 

You'll have the opportunity to develop a personal connection and contribute to the well-being being and quality of life for a member of this special community.

We ask for a minimum 6-month commitment. Opportunities are in Manhattan, Upper Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn.

Volunteer Opportunity: Social Programs for Holocaust Survivors
Join us at one of our upcoming social gatherings for Holocaust survivors and help create a warm and welcoming environment for participants. Volunteers assist with setting up the room, serving refreshments, cleaning up afterward, and most importantly—spending time socializing with survivors to make the event meaningful and enjoyable. Your presence helps foster connection and community for those who value these special gatherings.

Activities could include board/card games, listening to music, or simply having an engaging conversation and lending a listening ear. You'll have the opportunity to develop a personal connection and contribute to the well-being and quality of life for a member of this special community. Minimum 6-month commitment.
